Why a company needs Enterprise Software?

For a company this would be a thousand dollar question. Will the Market competence or Globalization dream or enforced legislation force you to make reasoning for having an Enterprise Software. I believe it is not.
Market competence challenges only to your product domain knowledge. As you aware, innovations in every aspects of your product life-cycle make you more stronger than the rest. ERP software may guide you but would not lead the way.
Globalization should to be every entrepreneur’s dream. Your market is opened from physically defined boundaries to logically defined boundaries. Your seamless market generates seamless information to handle. Even that context, ERP software may guide you but would not lead the way.
Enforced legislations may hinder your progress temporarily. The faces of this challenges might be new international certifications, environmental safeguard factors and import/export restrictions. To overcome these obstacles and move forward with your business domain, you need to find answers within your product knowledge. ERP software may guide you to find, but would not lead the way.
So, ERP software needs to be a close friend in your business process rather than fellow-waster.  Finding a close friend is very difficult, time consuming and cumbersome task. No difference when selecting suitable ERP software as well.
Why Enterprise Software? Because you need to have trusted, close friend in your business process to look after sea of information and guide you in troubled waters.
